There are other lines in the area. However, most of them have demanding launches and\/or landings and we advise asking an experienced pilot to guide you if you want to access any of them.

Grassy Diable line<\/h3><\/div><\/div>
\n

Main launch below the Diable top station. Main landing in Venosc.
Often catabatic in the morning, gets thermal later in the day.
On the line there are bike trails, lift, forbidden to overfly PG launch area and snow cannons.
In the second part of summer the grass by the snow cannons gets really tall and people often catch taller bush with lines and canopies.
In August an electric fence for cows is installed at the lower part of snow cannons area.
Each year several pilots tumble down the slope here with various injuries, so make sure you control where your wingtips are during proximity flight.
This line is often done on the sunset as well, though strong thermal conditions might give turbulence until after sunset.
Make sure you're ready to walk down as the lift is not working in the evening : know where the trail is and have a headlamp.

Do a flat flight from the main launch.
Enter the line at the top of Les Perrons mount to the left of the metal cross.
Beware of hikers near the cliffs.
Often turbulent at the edge.
Safe for the first 2-3 flights in the morning, later it is too thermal.
Be careful with other pilots approaching the landing from around the corner and from above (from the grassy line or other cracks).
Leave enough altitude to reach the landing.

Keep some altitude to reach it from the main launch.
Beware of the resort border fences and poles during approach.
Enter the line to the left of the ridge (half forest\/half grass) of Les Perrons mount - big grassy pot.
Beware of hikers and bikers on the sides of the entrance.
Safe for the first 2 flights in the morning, later it is too thermal.
Take into account the turbulence of the pilots flying in front of you in a tight couloir.
Be careful with other pilots approaching the landing from around the corner and from above (from the grassy line or other cracks).
Leave enough altitude to reach the landing because you can't see it from the flight.

Do a flat flight from the main launch.
Enter the line at the top of Les Perrons mount making a 90\u2070 turn to the right before the metal cross and the cliffs.
Thermals are the same as on the main grassy line but till the sun will heat the cliff.
Be careful about PG and speedflying pilots flying close to the cliff or traversing from the main grassy line.
Be careful with other pilots approaching the landing from around the corner and from above (from the grassy line or other cracks).

Super Venosc Grey Crack<\/h3><\/div><\/div>

Works safely only early in the morning before<\/strong> 9:30. So you need to do this 40 minutes hike.
After 09:30, too thermaly because of SE orientation and dark cliffs.
On the launch don't be shy to put your wing a bit more far away from the steep running part to have more space for the safe inflation.
Be aware of the tall grass and tension knots.
Leave enough altitude to reach the landing !
Be careful with the landing approach from the parking.
Fly far from the infrastructure.
Be careful with the other SF and PG pilots doing standard east to west landing.
Be careful with the downhill endless swoop.

Use the south launch by the super Diable low station.
Be careful with launching small wings with no face wind.
Be aware of the flat part after the launch.
Also possible to traverse from the main launch.
Enter the couloir at the end of the flat part.
Be aware of the resort fence rope in the middle of this couloir.
Enter the left crack line.
Works safe first two runs in the morning before the thermals.

Works safely only early in the morning before<\/strong> 10:00 (a bit more stable than the gray crack).
So you need to do this 40 minutes hike before the first lift.
After 10:00, too thermaly because of SE orientation and dark cliffs on the left.
Launch is not a fast running friendly. Launching the small wings are hard or impossible without a face wind.
The line can be accessed from the gray crack launch by a short traverse to the right.
Be aware of the tall grass and tension knots.
Leave enough altitude to reach the landing !
Be careful with the landing approach from the parking.
Fly far from the infrastructure.
Be careful with the other SF and PG pilots doing standard east to west landing.
Be careful with the downhill endless swoop.

If you want to make one more nice run before<\/strong> the first lift.
30 minutes hike from PG takeoff.
You can get some face wind just after the sun will touch the the slope (while at the PG takeoff is still down wind).
Main launch just above the trail, steep and technical without flat running part.
Possible to go a bit further to the corner of the couloir entrance and launch from the fence rope with a longer flat running distance.

Toura hike'n'fly line<\/h3><\/div><\/div>
\n

Technical unpredictable landing on the road with possible cars or on the sides of the river.
The river beaches change all the time and require a proper check right before the flight.
River landing is also dangerous because even shallow water can easily drag your wing with you to the dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This line is safe early in the morning, before the sun starts to heat rocks.
Launch is at the top of Toura lift by the big red \u201c2\u201d.
Requires 30 minutes hiking from the middle station of Jandri lift, just follow the Toura piste.
Launch is small loose stones but ok for running with flat part for inflation (though not friendly if you try to abort your launch).
When on the landing, check carefully the power lines which are crossing the river and remember where they are.

Short Diable Line<\/h3><\/div><\/div>
\n

This is a fast rotation flight \"close to\" the Diable lift.
We share this area with tandem paragliders and skiers.
Please stay away from PG launch and do not launch or fly under it. PG launch is marked by windsocks.

FORBIDDEN TO PASS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LIFT.
FORBIDDEN TO FLY THE FOREST TO THE RIGHT OF THE LIFT.

Takeoff 1 is the area of the summer takeoff (right under the net separating the slope). Make sure you stay away from skiers, especially when the black slope is groomed and used.
Takeoff 2 is a couloir South-West of the helicopter zone. Stay away from the red slope (vallons du diable) when it\u2019s open for skiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landing 1 is a flat area south of the lift, marked by poles with a rope and dedicated signs. It is not a huge area so make sure your accuracy allows you landing here. The approach is built from a biking bridge (well visible from the lift). Upon landing stall your canopy before crossing the lift line (do not ride with a canopy under the lift). The area North of the lift is reserved for paragliders as they need to land uphill \u2014 do not land there. Landing 2 is a larger and safer landing area (summer toplanding place \u2014 marked with a sign). Opt for this landing if your accuracy is not well practiced. Also this is a great option in case of windy weather or if there are too many pilots on Landing 1.

Landing on the slopes is FORBIDDEN. Skiing on the slopes with the wing overhead is FORBIDDEN.

Pierre Grosse<\/h3><\/div><\/div>
\n

A great steep line for flying and riding.
It\u2019s a high altitude area so quite often it can be windy \u2014 check the conditions well.
The whole line is an off-piste area with no possibility to return to the groomed slopes in case you can\u2019t take off. Make sure your skiing level lets you ski all the line down without a wing.
Avalanche equipment is mandatory.<\/strong>
Keep safe distance with skiers.
Yellow lines on the picture represent Catex cables that are almost invisible in flight \u2014 ski the line to know where they are.
Landing 1 is a flat area right at the bottom of the couloir. There are often strong downwinds here so make sure you are able to land accurately. Do not land on the groomed slope.
Landing 2 is an alternative landing \u2014 a big flat area on the other side of the groomed slope. It\u2019s a nive option in case your accuracy is not perfect or if there is too much downwind to land safely.
Attention: rescue helicopters in the area. Do not fly when there\u2019s a helicopter in sight.

Signal<\/h3><\/div><\/div>
\n

A great riding line on a good snowy day.
Be careful when checking the forecast \u2014 winds on the altitude are often strong.
Another concern is the glacier: there are crevasses on the line so make sure you study the area to avoid them.
The landing is to the East from the groomed slope, a relatively flat place at the bottom of the line.
Landing uphill is a safer option since the line finishes in a huge cliff and you cannot overshoot the landing.
There are more launches and lines in the area, especially if you have skitouring gear and are ready to get away from the lifts.
Ask a local pilot to guide you around the area so you can discover them in complete safety (link to the chat<\/a>).
Do not underestimate the dangers and snow knowledge \u2014 speedriding is a complex sport, requiring responsible approach.
