By municipal decree, Les Deux Alpes City Hall bans Speedflying and Speedriding from May 1st to November 30th.

There are two reasons for this decicion :

• Non-compliance with French flight regulations, particularly in the landing zone
• Increasing number of complaints about proximity flights from
  • Hikers
  • Bikers
  • Paragliders take-off zone

The association strongly condemns this unacceptable behaviour, and it is our duty to implement all possible solutions to ensure peaceful relations with other users of the area.
If these solutions are accepted, the mayor's office may consider amending the municipal by-law.
However, please understand that flying in Les Deux Alpes will be very different from before, when abuse went unpunished.
The association is actively looking for a new landing zone, in order to make it official with the FFVL.

From now on, to obtain a pass and practice Speed in les Deux Alpes, you will need to provide :

• your FFVL licence
• civil liability insurance
• personal accident insurance
